Overview: Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over sixty years has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics, technology, and data center services. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager/Sales Professional to join MSA's Information Technology Systems and Services (ITSS) group.
Responsibilities:
- Perform business development and sales activities that will result in identifying and securing new customers for the data center services provided by MSA's ITSS division
- Develop and maintain client business relationships with larger and/or multiple accounts within the ITSS division's account base including frequent and direct interaction with mid-level to senior-level contacts.
- Solicit & engage existing and prospective clients in discussions involving strategic business initiatives & ventures that may result in MSA's involvement with the prospect of creating new products and/or new services
- Build an in-depth understanding of both client and MSA core competencies in order to expand presence in client operations and increase MSA revenue and profitability
- Proactively identify and pursue broader business opportunities with existing client base
- Support overall business development activities including, but not limited to, identifying & responding to RFPs; creating & making presentations; providing research for ROI & other business justification scenarios; providing product overviews; and providing detailed demonstrations and training
- Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements/contracts with new and existing clients
- Assist in leading the MSA account teams in providing client satisfaction and enhancing the business relationships with existing customers
- Serve as a key contact for client needs and requests that are beyond the day-to-day bug/issues reported by customers' technical staff
- Work with other ITSS division staff to ensure that client needs are being addressed in a timely manner
Required Skills:
- Requires four-year degree or equivalent experience. MBA degree may substitute for two years of relevant experience.
- Minimum five years of related account management, sales, or client service work
- Successful, sustained experience as a team leader and/or project manager is preferred
- Established record of client satisfaction with deliverables and successful, sustained experience with forming revenue-producing relationships with client contacts in the higher levels of the client's Information Technology operations
- Seasoned understanding and use of Information Technology products and services
- Experience selling/marketing information technology products and services to Senior Executives
- Experience creating business development and account strategies
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Business networking skills with proven experience growing revenue
