Position Overview:
Our client, a leader in custom packaging solutions for Retail, Health Care, and Food markets, seeks a highly motivated Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. With a primary focus on custom thermoforming of trays, clamshells, and blisters, graphics cards and industry-leading heat-seal equipment, the Sales Representative will play a crucial role in improving market share and profitability.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in the packaging industry.
- Custom Thermoforming Trays, Clamshells, and Blister Packaging experience is REQUIRED.
- Sales Skills:
- Demonstrated track record of securing new customers.
- Proven ability to expand share within existing customers.
- Understanding and capability of implementing value-based comparative selling strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Actively seek new business opportunities for profitable growth.
- Identify potential opportunities from marketing leads, cold calls, and other sources.
- Conduct market analysis within the assigned territory.
- Prospecting and Sales:
- Rigorously prospect and follow leads to secure new business.
- Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Participate in trade show activities.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop key relationships with existing customers and prospects.
- Proactively manage customer projects to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaboration and Planning:
- Collaborate across internal functions for customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Develop and implement account and territory plans to increase sales.
- Manage administrative aspects, including quoting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Sales Pipeline Management:
- Maintain an updated and accurate sales funnel through CRM.
- Develop and maintain a Margin Improvement funnel.
- Travel:
- Manage territory travel to optimize customer interaction.
Location:
Flexible, can be located in any major Metropolitan area.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of packaging industry experience within thermoforming.
- Solid understanding of key drivers in the packaging environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop product and price positioning strategies.
- Proven track record of securing new customers and expanding share.
- Capability of implementing value-based comparative selling strategies.
- Experience developing corporate-level relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills for addressing profit levers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Frequent travel is required.
