SUMMARY 

 

Responsible for assisting Medicare beneficiaries with enrollment regarding Medicare Part D, Medicare Part C and Medicare Supplement plans by providing one-on-one counseling, enrollment assistance and post-enrollment advocacy.  This position will be responsible for maintaining a book of business and helping assist with new clients.   

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Acts as the lead representative to an assigned book-of-business and is responsible for overall client relationship to maintain high account retention rate. 

 

    Strategically guides the client through the decision making process. 

 

    Maintains ownership of all client deliverables by the service team. 

 

    Problem solves issues relating to Medicare products, including looking at customer service concerns thought the year. 

 

    Manages overall client relationship to maintain high account retention rate. 

 

    Responsible for planning and meeting agency service, marketing and sales goals. 

 

    Interacts with new and existing clients to promote the organization and exceed the client's service expectations. 

 

    Interfaces with internal staff and cross-functional teams (carriers, vendors, and partners) to initiate the new and renewal business. 

 

    Maintains knowledge of emerging trends and changing laws. 

 

    Maintains and drives client calendars for service team. 

 

    Participates in Medicare workshops by assisting with consumer education and assistance with set-up/planning as needed. 

 

    Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates. 

 

    Performs other duties as assigned 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

 

Associate's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

 

 

Six (6) or more years, related work experience 

 

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal, 

 

Valid Insurance License 

 

 

SKILLS  

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills 

Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills 

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork 

Excellent organization, attention to detail, and effective time management skills 

Ability to maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, colleagues, carriers, and other business contacts 

Expert level knowledge of Medicare products
