Senior Finance Manager - Marketplace
Purpose
Proactively partners with the US Marketplace (OMNI) Planning Teams to ensure financial rigor and sustainability in all cross channel strategic and operational planning processes. Liaison between Marketplace team and finance to ensure all decisions and strategies are accurately reflected in the financial plans. Cornerstone activities for this role include supporting cross-functional activities, project management, end-to-end planning, financial efficiencies and ensuring top notch, highly accurate and consistent information and analysis for all business partners.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and monitor financial plans, strategies and controls that focus on achieving desired financial and business objectives across all commercial channels in the US and North America
Prepares and/or lead timely and insightful financial analysis of pertinent market information to determine the optimal financial recommendations and present clearly to senior leaders
Build financial models to evaluate new business opportunities and analyse current business performance to maximize sales, inventory & profitability along with the clear trade offs
Partner with the business on tool and process creation and maintenance to support sustainable strategic and operational planning infrastructure
Build and support sustainable reporting tools to monitor the appropriate metrics focused on cross channel Sales, Margin, Inventory and Operating expenses
Analyse on hand business risks and opportunities to determine impact on financial results, including post mortems on outcomes
Be a peer leader to a team of finance professionals.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge in Finance and Accounting with proven track record using data to drive results
Ability to be an effective project manager, think strategically, synthesize the most complex data and develop innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to information requests from senior executives, stakeholders, cross functional business leaders, peers, clients, and customers.
High level skills in Excel, MS Office Suite and/or other reporting software
A proven track record of executional excellence in an environment that requires a detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities to accomplish assignments simultaneously under tight timelines.
Desire and ability to work closely and collaboratively with other members of the business & finance
Ability to execute scenario planning and post-mortems for diverse business challenges
Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):
Advanced degree or qualification in Finance, Project Mgmt, Accounting (e.g. MBA or CPA preferred)
8-10 years of broad based experience with progressive responsibility in industry leading companies
Consumer goods finance experience preferred
Basic accounting skills and experience
Advanced excel skills required
Familiarity with SAP, MSTR, COPA and other relevant adidas industry Finance systems/analytical software a major plus
