Position Summary
The Account Executive is a customer relationship management role within the lighting division. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining existing clients,working new leads from referrals and the marketing department, and selling products and services on the lighting side of the business. In addition to sales, the Account Executive also oversees sold shows, and ensures there is a proper hand-off to the Production Team. During the entire show production process, the Account Executive is the central point of contact for the client.
Essential Functions
While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Manual, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.
Maintain existing clients and service new clients for all products and services.
Identify and create solutions for client projects that meet the demands of the client’s and Company’s budget, pricing policies, and safety regulations.
Provide Accurate information including scope of work, location, times, gear and correct trucking.
Properly complete all cost-out documents and proposals pursuant to company quoting standards and policies.
Manage communication and expectations with our clients regarding cost and specs. 6. Be accountable for the collection of signed contracts and deposits on every show. 7. Complete expense and other company-required reports in a timely manner as required by company policy.
Bill labor correctly for maximum profitability.
Accurately indicate changes in operations calendar.
Follow up on success metrics with clients for each show.
Experience and Skills/Abilities
Google Workspace, Netsuite, HubSpot, and Monday.com are preferred.
Experience serving as the primary point of contact to a customer base.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral are required.
Industry knowledge in lighting events, including production is required.
Ability to work within deadlines and to multitask are required.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills is required.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to follow established company policies and procedures.
Strong computer skills are required as per our sales process and use of CRM and sales tools.
Ability and willingness to be coached to learn and grow their skill set will be necessary for success in this role and with the company.
Education
College degree preferred
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, at events/venues and meeting with prospective clients. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. The person in this role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and must move about occasionally inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery and have routine contact with individuals in the office. The person in this role must frequently climb stairs, travel and have the ability to move about both indoor and outdoor venues with stairs and multiple levels. This person in this role must be able to lift 25 lbs routinely and 50 lbs occasionally.
Travel
This position requires travel, at least 20% of the time. Travel will be mixed, local and outside the local area and overnight.
Expected Hours of Work
The typical work schedule for this position follows a standard workday, with occasional flexibility for evening and weekend work during high-volume periods. All breaks and lunches will comply with local, state, and federal laws, and overtime, if required, will be compensated in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
