With ACC Advisory, the in-house consultancy practice and inter-agency team leader, ACC offers a new and integrative service approach of best-in-class specialized resources, where strategy, technology and creativity converge. With offices in Los Angeles and New York, ACC has rapidly built out much of its operating group, and several Advisory clients, including Pepsi, T-Mobile, Fashion Nova and Canopy Growth, among others.

Job Description:

ACC is seeking an Account Executive to join the team, supporting product-driven and marketing comms for an iconic, high-end mass brand (beverage) with a variety of sports, music, CPG and lifestyle extensions/campaigns. Understanding the nuances of working with big brands, while simultaneously handling competing priorities with a variety of additional brands will be key to success in this role.

The Account Executive will be responsible for understanding the communication needs of multiple brands and divisions within the Fortune 500 company, designing solutions to meet the unique comms goals of each, and ensuring stellar organization around key deliverables and outstanding items for various projects. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with a passion for media pitching and growing their strategic muscle, as well as interest in sports, entertainment, music and/or pop/internet culture.

ACC offers a hybrid working environment. This role is required to work in office once a week on Wednesdays to collaborate with the team. We also offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, cell phone reimbursement, unlimited PTO, etc.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives press results across consumer and trade press, ensuring quality placements.
  • Media monitoring and reporting across all clients.
  • Analyzes and measures placements based on approved client standards and requirements (key message pull through, feature vs round up, etc.).
  • Consistently stays up to date with news trends - reads about other brands, shares ongoing updates with team and clients.
  • Participates in creative brainstorms/ideation and brings multiple creative insights and real time opportunities to clients.
  • Develops talent, brand, news cycle audits.
  • Develops briefing books in prep for talent/exec interviews.
  • Supports presentation/deck development for PR strategies and recaps.
  • Manages interviews for talent, including messaging and staffing.
  • Handles social copy for talent.
  • Daily / weekly client comms.
  • IAT collaboration.

PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Direct Supervisor: This role reports to the Account Supervisor (day to day) and Vice President - Advisory.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill set:
  • 2+ years public relations/marketing experience.
  • BA or BS Degree.
  • Outstanding communication skills, the ability to manage up, high level of confidentiality, strong follow through and attention to detail.
  • Social media savvy - experience with new and social media strategies and campaigns is a plus
  • Extremely flexible, proactive, solutions-oriented, highly organized, able to shift priorities and multi-task, while working under strict deadlines.
  • Critical/strategic thinker and problem solver, with the ability to generate creative solutions.
  • Familiarity with Critical Mention, SimilarWebPro, MuckRack, Cision and search engines to monitor and track broadcast and digital coverage tied back to client specific campaigns or major news where the client should be alerted.
  • Experience working with celebrities and executives (interview management, media/messaging training) preferred.
  • Ability to handle heavy workflow processing in a small, collaborative, entrepreneurial team environment, with high-level of self-accountability an innate desire to succeed.
  • PR material development experience (i.e. press releases, talent talking points, pitches, etc.) is a plus
  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer service to internal and external partners and clients.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and execute time sensitive matters in a fast-paced, highly demanding, and high-volume environment.
  • Ability to be flexible with work hours, as business needs require.
