Our Automotive Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL) team is seeking a self-motivated, passionate intern to focus on analog IC design and verification of analog subsystems in our automotive mixed-signal ICs.
What is GMSL? GMSL is widely accepted in the automotive industry as the cutting-edge technology for in-car high-speed serial links that safely and securely transport video while minimizing the cost, weight and complexity of vehicle cable harnesses. An extensive portfolio of GMSL products is in full production, and GMSL links are used every day in millions of vehicles worldwide. GMSL provides cost effective video transport and bridging for a wide range of applications - from basic information displays and rearview cameras in mass market vehicles to the full set of ADAS cameras in autonomous vehicles, and high-resolution touch screens in high-end vehicles.
The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Responsibilities may include:
- Contribution to design of analog and mixed-signal circuits used in automotive SerDes products
- Circuit simulations, and verification of high performance SerDes and auxiliary circuits.
- Creating design Documentation
- Lab evaluation, characterization, and debug
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degree, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Related Discipline
- Basic knowledge of analog circuit and IC design fundamentals
- Familiarity with analog IC design and simulation tools
Preferred Requirements:
- Understanding of the complete analog design flow - from specification, through circuit and layout design to silicon
- Understanding basics of the digital communication including high speed serial link PHY architecture
- Familiarity with Matlab and Simulink
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with lab equipment and measurement techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate cross-functionally
