Engineering Design Technician

Are you looking for immediate work? This is a great opportunity for someone with CAD drafting experience to support a medical device company for a 6-12 month contract as Engineering Design Technician.

This company is one of the largest medical assembly and manufacturing companies in North America and is dedicated to saving lives daily through different intravenous and cardiopulmonary devices that they produce.

In this role, you will supporting with a project needed to convert drawings to SolidWorks. If you are looking to work for a great company and start work ASAP, this could be the role for you!

Engineering Design Technician Responsibilities:

• Documents all specifications of the highest complexity for all new and or existing product designs and or production equipment using CAD design tools (PROE and SOLIDWORKS) - use of CAD analysis tools (FEA, CFD, SLA) to evaluate and refine final designs
• Independently performs activities using design tools to analyze, develop and detail new product and existing product designs
• Works with Pack Design Manager, Engineering Managers, Operations, Quality, Purchasing and Microbiologist on the introduction of any new or changed components
• Create efficient and effective designs of components or processes that reflect the highest technical standards for vendors and internal use
• Uses specific computer skills to maintain and implement and manage the EIFU program and new products into Visio-Cad while ensuring that new components added to Visio-Cad are within design control guidelines

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Engineering Design Technician Requirements:

• Must be proficient in SOLIDWORKs and CAD file management process
• 1-3+ years of experience in drafting/designing
• Experience in the manufacturing industry
• Regulatory document control experience

Compensation: $35 – $45/hr.
