The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of Midwest-centric experience providing site investigation and remediation engineering and consulting services. - Soil, groundwater, and sediment remedy evaluations, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation;
- Project management, including planning and implementing investigation and Remediation Projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
- Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
- Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing;
- Data analysis, including preparing maps and figures;
- Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; and
- At times, job may also include fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, contractor oversight, and remediation system installation and operations.

- Training: Geosyntec will provide training in OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
- Fieldwork: Up to 30%
- Overnight travel and client site visits should be expected up to 20%

- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in civil or environmental engineering or an aligned engineering discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E.) (required)
- At least seven years of consulting or industry experience related to the essential duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams on Remediation Projects. (required)
- Familiarity with USEPA and Illinois environmental regulations including Tiered Approach to Corrective Action Objectives (TACO) and understanding of Site Remediation Program closure requirements. (required)
- Understanding of construction quality assurance and/or remediation contractor subcontracting. (preferred)
- Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, managing multiple project assignments, meeting deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Proven project leadership skills. (preferred)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
