The Warehouse Manager focuses on the Inventory Accuracy, Warehouse Management of Staff and Coordination of Transportation Activities. The Warehouse Manager works both in house, Duluth location and at our 3PL location in Fulton Industrial area.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for inventory activities including receipt of purchased orders, working with carriers on transportation logistics, inventory control activities and supplying the service center with repair parts and data pertaining to customer repairs. The Warehouse Manager manages inventory discrepancies, prepares reports and resolves critical problems in material availability, and inventory control.
Responsibilities:
· Management of our 3PL activities, give direction and support to ensure highest level of service to meet our goals and objectives.
· Ensures purchase orders, inventory transfers, sales orders are processed to SLA’s.
· Resolves EDI errors related to warehouses.
· Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse in our Duluth facility.
· Provide training and leadership to the warehousing staff.
· Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
· Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads.
· Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees.
· Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and discipline of direct reports.
· Audits inventory control activities to assure inventory processes are consistent and accurate.
· Participate with inbound transportation logistics and evaluating outbound transportation requirements.
· Provides inventory analysis and service reporting.
· In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for warehouse operations
· Generates internal warehouse transfers to re-stock parts warehouse.
· Leads daily cycle count activities and conducts variance reconciliation, problem identification, and corrective action implementation.
· Maintains sufficient inventory stock for inside repair center along with coordinating service center orders and warranty orders.
· Provide tactical backup for Goods Receiving Vouchers, Warehouse Transfers, Customer Shipments, and Customer Returns, and Returns to Vendor.
· Involvement with serial number control of parts including the uploading of serial numbers to ERP system prior to Goods Receiving Vouchers, including working with 3PL on issues.
· Uses ERP database (Priority), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and email daily to conduct data analysis.
· Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.
· Responsible for warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
· Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations.
Requirements:
· BA/BS degree or 5 years of inventory control, distribution or purchasing experience.
· Must have experience managing 3PL
· 2 plus years of supervisory experience with permanent and temporary work force.
· Advanced computer user with experience in ERP systems
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Problem solving skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Knowledge of MS office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
