Job Description
A leading transportation company is seeking a highly motivated Truck Freight Sales Executive to promote and sell transportation services to local businesses in the Seattle area. The Transportation 3PL Truck Freight Sales Exec will play a crucial role in developing, securing, growing, and maintaining revenue and margin for the corporation, focusing on their designated accounts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Relationships: Cultivate and sustain relationships through face-to-face sales calls on assigned accounts. Establish connections at various levels within client organizations, including executive levels. The 3PL Truck Freight Sales Exec will also work on building relationships with potential future accounts.
Sales Plans & Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans for primary accounts to achieve specified revenue and margin goals. Ensure strategy and planning align with the Division Sales Management's objectives. The 3PL Truck Sales Exec is responsible for managing the process, reviewing profitability, and tracking key performance metrics.
Sales Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new potential business opportunities. Make recommendations for dropping or adding accounts based on established procedures, subject to review and approval by Sales Management.
Sales Systems: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems reflecting territory activity, contact information, and opportunities. Leverage the MS Office suite for effective presentation and information sharing, both internally and externally.
Job Requirements:
- 7 years of 3PL Truck Freight Sales experience.
- B.A. degree preferred (Masters' strongly desired).
- Prior healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred.
- Proven ability to sell and service specific vertical markets.
- Corporate or National Account Transportation Sales experience.
- Premium Transportation Service.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite of services.
- Strong presentation skills required.
- Advanced Territory Management skills preferred.
- Effective collaboration skills.
- Fiscal accountability.
- Pay Range: $94,020.00 - $156,920.00.
- Quarterly Bonuses based on territory goals & individual performance.
- Mileage reimbursement: $0.655 per mile.
