Job Description
Fast-growing Rancho Cucamonga third-party logistics company seeks experienced Warehouse Lead as part of our growing logistics team. We are not a temporary employment agency. Position will report to the Warehouse General Manager and be responsible for helping lead the WH team in a range of warehousing, inventory, fulfillment, safety, and operational activities. Strong Warehouse Leadership, logistics technology and team communication skills needed for this position, in addition to modest forklift/reach experience.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Leading and implementing directions made by the General Manager to warehouse and fulfillment staff as well as temporary employees
- Helping supervise, actively participate in and lead warehouse and fulfillment teams with receiving, loading/unloading, accurate processing of orders, storing and organizing of goods
- Oversight, implementation and mentoring of order processing technologies both for freight as well as parcel fulfillment orders;
- Ensuring efficient and professional implementation of warehouse and fulfillment operations, regularly updated and 100% accurate inventory, and the development and maintenance of cleanliness and safety procedures in the warehouse;
- Helping generate shipping/receiving/inventory/billing documents (as needed), tracking/filing of appropriate documentation, daily orders and pick tickets, and updating information in WMS ("Extensive")
- Verifying and accurately preparing shipping/freight and fulfillment orders, to meet customer requirements
- Assisting the General Manager to identify areas of improvement and to update or implement work procedures and practices
- Ensuring warehouse equipment is maintained, monitored and in proper working order, and safety documentation submitted
- Communicating professionally with other Warehouse and Fulfillment Team members, CSR's and other staff regarding shipments, order details, inventory, errors, or other operational issues
- Helping maintain clean and organized warehouse, with high standards for properly handling/organizing of customers' products and company tools/equipment
- Assisting and coaching other Warehouse Team members with operational and facility-related activities
- Strictly following quality, safety and workplace behavior standards
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3+ years of previous warehousing or fulfillment experience, with at least 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Must be experienced with forklifts and warehouse technology, preference for those with experience with other equipment such as stock pickers;
- Must have reliable transportation, and at least a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be punctual, reliable, have EXCELLENT math and counting skills, and EXTREME attention to detail to ensure 100% accuracy;
- Be able to lift 45-pounds, stand or walk continuously for long periods of time, as well as bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling reaching and work year-round in a warehouse without climate controls
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Must be authorized to work in the United States, and be able to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and ability to communicate with supervisors and other team members
