Description:Production Supervisor assists in achieving product quality objectives and coordinating activities on the production floor. He or she helps to enforce all GMP's, product quality, and plant safety policy and procedures.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/ GED preferred
- (OSHA) Hilo Certification
- Valid Driver's License
Work Hours:
- 1st Shift: 06:45 AM - 03:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:45 PM - 07:00 AM
Primary Work Area:Production floor
Work Environment:
This job operates in a food production and warehouse setting. The facility is not mechanically temperature controlled and at times will require work in hot temperatures. The floor surface is concrete. The noise level is moderate with no vibration. Material movement takes place throughout the facility.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work on feet, while using tools to perform repetitive actions
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects as assigned by position.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate food service equipment.
- Reaching overhead, above shoulders and horizontally.
- Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching.
- Seeing to monitor food quality and quantity.

Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain personal GMP and Food Safety compliance at all times
- Assure product quality specifications thru maintaining product specification tolerances, monitoring the process, instructing the personnel and assisting in daily product review.
- Maintain and develop all production procedures and monitor performance
- Hire, teach, coach, mentor and discipline production staff
- Provide education and training to all persons in the production department.
- Ensure accurate data is being recorded and maintain documentation and record integrity
- Provide leadership support to Quality supervisor
- Provide work schedules to production personnel.
- Follow and Enforce all OSHA Safety Regulation and Safety Rules.
- Report and Address any Safety concerns to Safety Committee.
Duties:
- Assist with customer samples and reports
- Conduct daily paperwork and GMP audits
- Oversee Production personnel work, daily.
- Assemble, review, sign and turn in daily production packets (daily)
- Monitor hold log daily, inform production staff of holds and dispositions per the hold log; monitor disposition and the products use during production per the rework program and/or its disposal per the farmers scrap program.
- Assist Production Manager in short term, midterm and long-term management initiatives, program implementation and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for monitoring Red Zone compliance and accuracy.
