Job Description
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers on the 2nd Shift.
***$2,000 Sign On Bonus

*** $500 paid after completion of one (1) month (30 days) of employment**
*** $500 paid after completion of three (3) months of employment**
*** $1,000 paid after completion of six (6) months of employment**
SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the people, processes, procedures and related controls to ensure timely and accurate production in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. The Production Supervisor is a hands on, working manager accountable for the design, documentation, implementation, audit and continuous improvement for all production related standard work, projects and related systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises production team on assigned shift.
- Executes Plant’s safety program by being a champion for safety and treating it as a priority and meeting all company safety and OSHA standards.
- Investigates all safety incidents and near misses to help reduce future accidents.
- Responsible for setting schedules and approving employee’s time in the Ceridian/Dayforce system to manage payroll entry for all production personnel.
- Responsible for producing product to ensure production meets scheduled requirements at approved staffing levels.
- Ensure proper training of all employees regarding GMPs, Safety, Quality, Materials Consumption, and other company procedures.
- Responsible for documentation of production and materials related data and identifying usage variances compared to standards following up with specific/effective corrective actions.
- Responsible for supervising and supporting the production clerk as necessary to ensure accurate consumption of materials in the Just Foods accounting system.
- Handles employee concerns and employee performance and or relations issues
- Updates and communicates labor needs regularly.
- Provides and receives feedback to develop employees and future leaders.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Plant Management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-6 years’ experience in a food/pharma/med device manufacturing management or supervisory role
- Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred but not required
- Bilingual - English/Spanish/Hindia Plus
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Experience working with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience with quality and hygiene requirements common in food manufacturing.
- Experience managing employees in a food production environment.
- Demonstrate strong management, leadership, organizational and scheduling ability.
- Experience working in a production environment with USDA, food, and other FDA regulated products.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
- Team motivator with a high energy level and diligent work ethic.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The work environment is cold (30 to 35 degree) on the manufacturing floor. The Production Supervisor will spend 90% of their time in the factory.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
