Plastics Manufacturer is Hiring a 2nd Shift Supervisor!

Shift: 2nd - Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm. (Must be available to arrive at 1pm and leave at 11pm on some days based on need and shift change.)
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr. based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Performs all supervisor tasks, coordinating the activities of plant personnel to ensure proper operations, maintaining a flow of quality parts, assemblies and the like, in a timely manner satisfying customer requirements, engineering standards, supervisory direction and corporate procedures.
- Coordinates, scheduling and assigning of manpower and resources to efficiently and effectively meet prescribed schedules, line ups as delivered by the Production Supervisor.
- Enforces and promotes quality production of parts and assemblies to meet customer satisfaction.
- Assists in the administration of all company personnel polices and procedures, reporting and suggesting recommendations to his/her superior, including but not limited to all areas of employee relations.
- Ensures a safe and clean work environment for all plant personnel through prudent safety practices complying with all OSHA and plant safety and cleanliness specifications, practices and procedures.
- Communicates regularly with plant personnel ensuring good two-way communications between management and all shift, plant personnel.
- In the absence of plant management assumes total responsibility for all activities of personnel as well as the utilization of and protection of company assets.
- Maintains and identifies supply needs and submits purchasing order request to production supervisor, i.e. (molding releases, blades, gloves, color's additives, materials, etc.)
- Enforces and adheres to all manufacturing and company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as directed.
- Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year Supervisor experience within a manufacturing environment. Preferably plastics manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
