2Nd Grade Special Education Teacher | Quadriplegic Learner

Novel Education Group is seeking a unique and exceptional part-time Special Education Teacherfor in-person instruction in Reunion, Florida.

Our student is an incredibly sweet non-verbal quadriplegic 2nd Grader. He is a joyful and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for reading and music. He takes pride in completing tasks and enjoys a variety of activities. He can be determined and playful, often delighting in making others laugh. This presents an extraordinary opportunity for a teacher to make a profound impact.

At Novel Education Group, we create fully customized curriculum. While we will help with lesson planning, we are searching for an outstanding teacher who is well-versed in helping quadriplegic student's, possesses the ability to adapt and modify materials, and can adjust the curriculum as mastery is achieved. The right teacher is loving, flexible and knows how to adapt, support and maintain high standards for our student. This as an opportunity to really make a difference in her life.

Our ideal candidate is professional and a college graduate with a worldly attitude and perspective. While Special Education experience is a must, a teaching degree is not necessarily required.

• Location: At student's home, Reunion, Fl 34747
• Days: Mornings Monday-Friday
• Time: TBD/Mornings | 2 or 3 days/week for a total of 3 hours
• Details: As a homeschool teacher, you will be responsible for adapting curriculum and lessons for our non-verbal student. You should be an individual who is excited to embark on a learning journey with him, is interested in building a relationship, and can provide support in his learning endeavors, whatever they may look like.

Qualifications:

• Able to readily commit to in-person learning in Reunion Florida.
• 2 years Special Education teaching or tutoring experience with non-verbal children
• 3 years minimum of teaching experience
• Extremely detail oriented
• Extremely flexible, patient and hardworking with a go-getter attitude
• Background checked or will to get one
• References available on request
