2Nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of Golf Course maintenance and be heavily involved with other leadership team members. This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further their experience in the turf grass industry and be an integral part of our management team. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, project staff leadership, fertilizer and chemical applications, equipment operation, hand watering, tree work, course set up, and leadership of course construction and renovation projects.

• Golf Course Maintenance (or related) experience preferred
• Current MA pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Reliable, positive attitude, ability to be forward-thinking
• Typical work week in-season ranges from 45-55 hours per week, generally every other weekend off. Off-season (December – March): 40 hours per week with weekends off.
• High school diploma

Golf Course Architect Rees Jones designed the Golf Course at Sacconnesset Golf Club, which opened for play in 2007. The club was purchased by the membership in 2015 and has grown and improved tremendously since that time. Over the past eight years, the club has invested heavily in enhancements and renovations to the Golf Course and facilities.
