GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Performs a wide variety of clerical tasks for the criminal division and is responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, grant reporting and policy recommendations of systems and procedures to ensure compliance with MIDC standards. Responsible for case review, data entry, preparation of forms including commitments to jail and mailing of notices to parties along with other clerical duties similar to those described and related to court operations. Will have extensive contact with defendants, law enforcement, defense counsel, prosecution and judges.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in the criminal division of a District Court with knowledge of Judicial Information Systems (JIS) highly preferred. Prior experience as a Deputy Court Clerk is ideal for this position. Must be able to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Represents the court in a professional capacity assuming strict confidentiality at all times. Experience with development of spreadsheets and forms, GoogleDoc knowledge, and other organizational systems are desired for this position. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, set priorities and work independently. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and the public. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
