**SALARY PLACEMENT IS BETWEEN $22.69-$23.74 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION** SUMMARY: The Research Systems Specialist, Senior collects data, retrieves data files, verifies accuracy, manipulates data, performs statistical analysis, and prepares reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists in the designing and conducting of research projects.
- Uses computer programs to aggregate data for reports, charts, graphs and tables
- Produces reports, memorandums, and other written materials.
- Creates and maintains computer databases.
- Assists with designing and analyzing computer-related needs assessments.
- Assists and trains Research and Development personnel to use computer programs.
- Monitors compliance with Federal, State, and District report guidelines.
- Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines: High School diploma or GED equivalent; College graduate, Bachelor's degree or equivalent. College classes in computer programing
License and Certification Requirements:
A valid Arizona State Driver's License may be required.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Experience in using a data base manager on a computer.
- Experience in using computer for statistical analysis and producing charts and graphs.
- Experience in using electronic spreadsheets to produce tables and analyze data.
- Experience in using word processors.
- Knowledge of research techniques.
- Skill in understanding, explaining, and applying relevant job specific duties, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to provide excellent customer experiences, including but not limited to interacting tactfully and courteously with the public.
