Description
As part of the Engineering Operations team, the Senior Network Engineer closely collaborates with other members of the engineering team, business stakeholders, and Sunstate end users to meet, maintain, and help plan internal systems and standards. Your primary responsibilities will be to monitor and maintain a variety of Sunstate Equipment network systems, along with helping to align core business needs with future planning and technology development.
Position Requirements

• Minimum of ten (10) years practical working expertise as a Network Engineer in an Enterprise environment or relevant experience in a multi-location infrastructure
• Minimum fifteen (15) years in I.T. or Technical Engineering space
• Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Expert working knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers, and Wireless AP & Controllers
• Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, and VLAN technologies
• Advanced experience with SDWAN technologies/administration (Palo Alto Preferred)
• Experience in networking (TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP) protocols and troubleshooting
• Understand datacenter networking fabric topologies and common architectures deployed, both Layer 2 and Layer 3
• Experience troubleshooting/supporting Private and Internet circuits (DIA, Broadband, and MPLS)
• Knowledge of IPsec, Dynamic and Route Based VPN tunnels, Remote Access Authentication (such as Radius, Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass)
• Foundational knowledge of network security best-practices and design patterns
• Deep understanding of Wi-Fi 5 & 6 operations in dense deployments
• Certificate management, internal generated, or 3rd party CA's
• Self-motivated, attention to detail, ability to multitask, excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Nice to haves

• Associate degree in computer science and/or Information Technology
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Preferred (CCIE) and/or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE)
• Linux o/s Experience
• Secondary competency in Network Security and/or Vulnerability Assessments
• Cloud infrastructure design and support preferred
• Familiarity with these technologies is a plus: Palo Alto firewalls (physical and virtual) and Cisco ISE
• Knowledge of Compliance standards (SOX, PCI DSS)
• Experience with ITIL and Change Management processes
• Strong knowledge of data security and firewalls (Palo Alto Firewalls preferred)
• Experience supporting internal customers
