Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Structures Intern to join our team for a [duration: e.g., 3-month, 6-month] internship opportunity. The Structures Intern will work closely with our structural engineering team to support ongoing projects, gain practical experience in structural analysis and design, and contribute to the successful delivery of engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
Assist in performing structural analysis and calculations using software tools
Support structural engineers in the design and evaluation of building systems, bridges, or other structural elements.
Help with the preparation of drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
Conduct site visits and inspections to observe construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Assist in researching materials, codes, and standards relevant to structural engineering projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve engineering challenges and optimize design solutions.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
Strong academic background in structural analysis, mechanics, and engineering principles.
Familiarity with structural engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
Previous internship or coursework related to structural engineering is a plus.
