Job description

The Role:
In this role, you will work closely with our Automation engineers supporting various manufacturing systems at the Moderna Norwood site. This role will be hands-on, actively involved in project design, delivery, and ongoing support.
Our co-op program goes from: January 16th to June 14th 2024. All applicants must be available for the entire duration of the program and available to work onsite in Norwood, MA.
Here's What You'll Do:
  • Assist in the implementation and configuration of Manufacturing Execution Systems(MES) and/or Process Control System(PCS) in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to manufacturing systems directly supporting clinical and commercial operations
  • Assist in the generation, execution, and upkeep of compliance documentation including specifications, test protocols, work instructions, and operating procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally within Digital to ensure end-to-end process design and system integration to maximize operational efficiency
  • Participate in system testing to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, systems, and infrastructure by both leveraging and setting industry best practices
  • Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Self-directed with effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
  • Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing and the application of MES/PCS systems within the industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively within a team of cross functional stakeholders
  • Computer programming and debugging skills with specific emphasis on Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Sequential Function Charts (SFC), Structured Text (ST), and Ladder Diagram (LD) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, network/virtualization hardware, and virtualization platforms is a plus
