Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and drafting work using SolidWorks.
• Write and edit ladder logic programs and program HMI’s.
• Writing technical documentation including wiring diagrams, PLC documentation, Work Instructions, and Procedures.
• Implement process improvements on the manufacturing floor.
• Setup communication to various machine tools such as Fanuc, Haas, and Brother machines.
• As part of a team, design and implement new automation for the manufacturing floor as well as support the existing automation on the manufacturing floor.
• Improve existing automation with increased error checking in preparation for lights-out manufacturing

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Robotics Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Analytical and competent technical writing skills.
• Good communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, written, and presentation.
• Strong user of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of and ability to apply engineering principles.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• 3D modeling using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM or equivalent Product Data Management software
• Experience with stepper or servo systems.
• Experience programming industrial robots/cobots

Desired

• Knowledge/experience with Productivity, Click, and DoMore Designer PLC programming
• Knowledge/experience with Cmore programming software
• Knowledge of setting up IIoT devices and communication protocols
• Experience working in a production manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO9001:2018.
• Willingness to travel one to two times per year.
• Experience with SolidWorks Simulation FEA analysis or equivalent software.
• Experience with pneumatics.
• Knowledge/experience with manufacturing processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

• Marlborough, MA 01752: Relocate before starting work (Required)
