The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research & Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
General Overview:
Applications are sought for a scientific co-op opportunity in Vaccine Process Research and Development within our company's Research Laboratories. The candidate will work within the Vaccine Process Development department's Conjugations team to develop and characterize a process analytical technology (PAT) method for in-process monitoring of downstream processes.
Specific Job Requirements:
Under the direction of a project mentor, the candidate will develop an NMR method that is suitable for monitoring conjugation processes. The candidate will execute an existing conjugations process and evaluate in-line and offline NMR monitoring approaches. Candidate will compile data from past experiments to statistically compare the method with past studies. The candidate will perform method qualification and collect data for process reactions using the NMR method. Individuals will gain valuable experience in vaccine downstream process development, NMR spectroscopy, and analytical method development.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Chemical/Bio Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or relevant discipline (ex. STEM majors)
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to 6 months
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a co-op program at their college / university
  • Candidate must have experience running analytical methods and evaluating experimental data

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Candidates should have previous experience with biological or chemical lab work through a course lab component or other academic opportunity
  • Candidates should have current G.P.A of 3.0 or higher
  • Candidates should be highly motivated and driven. Willing to take initiative to learn new science and excited to implement new technologies
  • Candidates should be a strong team player. Candidate should be able to balance the needs of multiple disciplines when implementing new technologies
  • Candidates should be comfortable using a PC computer and proficient in Windows-based operating systems and basic applications, such as spreadsheets and databases, at a minimum
  • Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5,2023 our U.S. Hybrid work model will be as follows: 1. Three total days on site per week: Tuesday and Wednesday - plus one additional day of choice based on what works best for organizations and/or teams. 2.
