Job Description
The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Manufacturing & Supply Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
The co-op is responsible for providing global Knowledge Management support for commercial manufacturing areas while actively supporting, participating in and embracing an empowered team culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Desire to learn to effectively retain and share knowledge using standard approaches
  • Ability to learn and comply with all applicable cGMP and Knowledge Management protocols, which may include taking e-learning or other necessary training (e.g. area specific gowning procedures).
  • Apply learnings to continuously improved standard business / operating procedures
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams (automation, area managers, quality, etc) and shop floor on a variety of different projects and activities that are critical to on-going manufacturing of products.
  • Completes projects to improve the performance of our processes and manufacturing performance, including projects aimed at improving operational metrics related to yield, cost and/or cycle times
  • Executes projects and assigned studies independently. Readily share improvement ideas.
  • Actively uses and champions the use of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools or Production Systems (MPS), both in problem solving and day-to-day operational activities.
  • Provides progress updates to mentor summarizing the status of the assignments that are underway.
  • Conducts performance assessment that evaluates personnel performance and ensure business continuity.
  • Preference: Provides on-the-floor support of operational and technical issues.

Required Education and Experiences:
  • Candidates must be a current graduate student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in engineering, biology, chemistry, and IT-related field with previous experience (internship or co-op) in an operations, quality or science / technology area
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (6) consecutive months while maintaining student status in the current institution
  • Candidates must be able to communicate, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Candidates must have strong presentation skills and willing to present to upper management when needed

Preferred Experience & Skills:
  • Candidates should have some exposure in biologics, vaccine, or bulk sterile manufacturing facilities
  • Candidates should be willing to Lean/Six Sigma tools
  • Candidates should have the ability to organize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously, including leading small projects
  • Candidates should be willing to interacting with employees of a variety of functional backgrounds
  • Candidates should have excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00
