General Overview:
Applications are being sought for an automation engineering co-op opportunity within our company's Research Laboratories Division. Our company's biologics plant uses a wide variety of instrumentation and systems throughout its facility and is currently executing several projects surrounding data visualization and analytics.
Specific Job Requirements:
Under the direction of the project leader, individual will help digitalize data and process information by improving our data collection and capabilities. Duties include providing data contextualization for displays and analysis by connecting data to the Data Lake for our company's wide data consumption. The individual will support the BCMT Automation Strategy to further digitize our Shop Floor manufacturing systems to improve data accessibility and consumption, expanding the overall impact from our data driven decisions.
Individual is expected to function in a multi-disciplinary environment and contribute to functional teams.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and have the ability to digitalize our data in a readable and representative way to be used by team members across various departments. In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the candidate will be expected to comply with all required training and maintain a focused attention on safety and compliance for themselves and the team.

- Candidates must be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant discipline
- Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to 6 months
- Candidates must be enrolled in a co-op program at their college / university
- Candidates must be able to work independently, and along with a team environment
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Candidate should have experience with computer programming
- Candidates should have G.P.A of 3.0 or higher
- Candidates should have experience with PI Applications (PI Process Books, PI Vision, PI Asset Framework)
- Candidates should have experience with databases and data communications
- Candidates should have experience with networks and system interfaces
- Candidates should have experience with data analysis
- Candidates should experience with automation systems
