Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Sr. Quality Engineer, the Quality Technician will work with emphasis on supporting the production processes such as APQP 4 new product launches, floor audits, corrective actions, the MRB process and identify opportunities for improvement to improve manufacturing operations and support new product launches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage the material Review Board (MRB) area and product through: rework, scrap, deviation, etc…and improve the processes using 8D & corrective action techniques.
- Ascertain root cause and implement workable corrective actions in order to resolve quality problems.
- Support and be a team member of open production related corrective actions.
- Analyze individual/families of products quality and advise Engineering on quality improvement potential.
- Floor review during the APQP4 new product launches. Actively updating the check sheets and visual aids to better aid the production process.
- Performing Quality related floor audits.
- Actively help maintain and organize the facilities gages and inspection related equipment.
- Teach the proper use of gauges to the KMC teaching aids to production personnel, working with the plant supervisor on the onboarding training process.
- Review and approval of part dimensions layouts including verification to all engineering specifications.
- Review and approve proposed changes to production inspection requirements.
