Job Description
As the Quality Control Technician and/or Floor inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection and random sampling or parts before shipment to our customers. You will also be responsible for ensuring proper inspection devices, prints, and checklists are at the work centers for the jobs being run. As a member of the quality team, you will be responsible for performing bench inspection, floor inspection, lab work, gage calibration, CMM operations, and Magnaflux.
All candidates will train on 1st shift for 1 year and may transfer to an off-shift upon completion of training
Responsibilities include:
visually inspecting processed, machined, and/or assembled parts for defects, burrs, slugs, rollover, etc.
Ensures all proper inspection devices, prints, routings, and checklists are at the work centers for the jobs being run
Use precision measuring instruments and complex testing equipment
Work with various drawings, blueprints, and part specifications to ensure parts are within tolerance
Set up jobs and green tag them for production
Perform random sampling inspections
Document/complete inspection reports
Checking incoming materials and maintaining files
Gauge calibration
Requirements:
1 year of previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing setting
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and part specifications
Experience working with a variety of inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, Veneers, height gauges, go/no-go gauges
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ITAR, and F.O.D requirements preferred but not required
High School Diploma or equivalent
