They are looking for a Maintenance Technician who has extensive ability to repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery such as production machines and equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Observe presses and other machinery in operation and troubleshoot problems as they arise
- Record, log, and maintain required reports and records.
- Repair damaged mold platens, repair and modify machine tooling (molds).
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Install new or relocate existing machinery, equipment, and other accessories; rebuild existing or acquired machinery, equipment, and other accessories; install, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other production equipment, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and other service systems; tear down, troubleshoot, reassemble, repair or replace worn or defective parts, maintain plant areas, lunchroom, restroom, grounds, and other areas.
- Maintain proactive and documented preventative maintenance program to maximize machine uptime; ensure preventive maintenance is performed on all machinery, equipment, services, temperature & hydraulic gauge calibration, and calibration stickers.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities as needed.
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in the maintenance field
- Experience working for a manufacturer of elastomeric material preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read Hydraulic/Pneumatic prints
- Can be organized, multitask, and plan workload accordingly
Physical Demands
- Regularly walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear
- Frequently stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lift/move up to 40 lbs.
- Regularly be on your feet for extended periods of time up and exceeding 8 hours
- Have good vision of close, far, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
