VP HR Manager - Bilingual Japanese Preferred
Exciting opportunity in Manhattan with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office per week)
$130-$150k base salary + discretionary bonus
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of HR experience with a focus on recruitment, compensation, and employee relations/employment law
- Strong English communication skills, fluency in Japanese preferred
- Financial services industry experience and familiarity with Japanese/global companies is a plus
- Knowledge of employee benefits, MS Office, ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Thorough understanding of labor laws and ability to enforce them with integrity and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership team to execute HR and talent strategy, including recruiting and retention
- Manage talent acquisition process, including interviewing and hiring
- Coordinate expatriate staff rotations and visa processes
- Provide guidance and support to employees/managers on HR programs and policies
- Develop learning and development programs for internal employee growth
- Consult with managers on employee-related issues, including performance management
- Analyze compensation and benefits trends to propose competitive programs
- Lead performance and compensation review process
- Ensure compliance with HR legal requirements and collect data for audits
- Regularly analyze procedures and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency
