This job is a seasonal position. We are seeking 2 hardworking individuals that can work from now through May 25th.
Our goal is to teach the next generation about wildlife. We believe that connecting today's youth with wildlife will spark a passion for conservation and environmental advocacy.
We travel across southeastern United States educating elementary students about wildlife. Our presentations include live animal ambassadors. We discuss topics such as concervation statuses, adaptations, life cycles, food chains, predator and prey relationships, and much more. We frequently visit, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Mobile, Little Rock, Orlando, and Miami. Ambassador animals include but are not limited to: Raptor birds, amphibians, reptiles, small mammals, marsupials, and invertebrates.
The starting pay for this position is $15 per hour at full time. This equates to $600/week. After the 10 day training period, new members of the Outreach team receive commission. Commission averages around $200 to $300 per week. $20 per-diem is also given for every day spent traveling to the destination and each day spent out of town.
The Outreach team has company vans for travel. Room and board is also provided in each city by the company.
