Job Title:ZipTour Foreman
Department: Mountain Operations
Reports To: ZipTour Manager
Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour
Shift: Full-time, Seasonal positions
Variable shifts 9:00am - 7:00pm, Must be available weekends and holidays
SUMMARY
Contribute to the organization, efficiency, and leadership of ZipTour operations. Provide a safe, informative ZipTour experience for guests. Provide transformational experiences and genuine service executed passionately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Read and completely understand the ZipTour® operations manual for all equipment systems utilized.
Understand and utilize all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and cultivate a positive culture around PPE usage.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the maintenance needs and overall concept of the design function of the ZipTour ride system.
Have a basic understanding of Side by Side maintenance. Report service needs when necessary.
Understand all rescue procedures and be ready to coordinate any rescue effort.
Assist supervisors and manager in conducting and documenting daily, weekly, and seasonal staff trainings.
Assist supervisors and manager in training level one and level two operators, utilizing the most recent version of the ZipTour® operations manual and SOP for local operating procedures.
Complete daily follow-up pass-offs for daily and weekly training.
Obtain necessary signatures and correctly file all paperwork.
Complete daily tower and line inspections to ensure guests' safety.
Monitor weather conditions and coordinate evacuating guests during weather closures.
Assist manager in annual Non-Destructive Testing and inspection processes.
Assist supervisors in weekly scheduling on PayLocity.
Complete daily opening and closing procedures of ZipTour course.
Transport guests via all-terrain vehicle for private ZipTours.
Execute operational plans and motivate employees.
Mentor coworkers & lead by example.
Perform all other ZipTour tasks as needed.
Handle multiple tasks and be creative and motivated.
Meet and establish a rapport with each guest
Be a good steward of the mountain ensuring waste is properly disposed.
Promote employee carpooling.
Awareness of weather conditions and elements to ensure a safe environment for self and guests.
Winter Operations include the following: De-ice cables & Clear pathways and platforms of snow.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position, for example: minimize waste, recycle, conserve energy, purchase and use sustainable products, educate co-workers/guests on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar environmental ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats, carpool with co-workers to minimize carbon emissions. All employees are invited to participate in environmental or Sundance Preserve sponsored events.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete all applicable paperwork for the above responsibilities and submit to HR in a timely manner.
DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. As representatives of Sundance and leaders of our teams, mangers are expected to set the example for all employees.
In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, managers and supervisors are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard.
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Employees are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Must wear designated uniform t-shirt at all times
Clothing must be unwrinkled, clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted.
Men's shirts must be tucked in.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Shorts may not be shorter than 2" above knee.
Close toe and heal footwear is required - a sturdy work shoe is strongly recommended
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
If your department allows t-shirts, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.
If your department allows baseball caps, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Have at least 1 season of ZipTour experience or exhibit competence in the ZipTour ride system and Sundance Mountain Resort specific mountain operations.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation, and electronic mail. Proficient use of a 2-way radio is frequently required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Based on ZipTour Rider Requirements, Zipline Operators must meet the following standards to ride the ZipTour:
Measure between 48" and 82" tall.
Weigh between 50 and 260 pounds.
Must not be pregnant.
No history of neck, back or spine injuries.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
