Form of workA lovely, welcoming family living on a beautiful farm near Franklin, TN, seek an amazing live-in Infant Nanny for their 6-month-old. The usual schedule will be Monday through Friday from around 7:30am-7pm, with time for breaks during the day, however, the family travel regularly and would love their nanny to join them- so please be open to longer hours and occasional weekend work while away.
The family is keen to find someone warm and nurturing, who practices positive reinforcement, and who encourages respectful boundaries. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, supporting weaning and preparing fresh, healthy food, managing nap schedules, sleep training, potty training, conducting light housekeeping, laundry and ironing, as well as finding fun local activities and classes, organising play-dates and creating a network of local friends, encouraging educational and emotional growth, and generally being thoroughly invested in the child's health, well-being and development. Mum (and sometimes Dad) will be at home so candidates should be comfortable with this and happy to tag-team when necessary.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, fun, active, and cheerful, loves what they do, adores babies, and has a thorough understanding of children's development and milestones. The household values kindness, respectful interactions, and discretion, and the parents are keen to foster a positive environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and growth. Note that there is an older sibling who has his own nanny, however she isn't with the family full-time, and there will be occasions therefore when you may have both children in your care. The family home is also a farm so candidates MUST be comfortable around animals (including being willing to help out with some friendly dogs from time to time). Accommodations are provided in the nearby local town where the successful candidate will have a 2-bedroom townhouse to use. Please be aware that this will be shared with the other nanny. As Dad regularly travels solo (for weeks at a time), it would be appreciated if the nanny is able to move into the family home during these periods to support Mum. At other times, the family will travel together, either domestically or internationally, and the nanny will be expected to travel with them. During these trips, hours may be extended so a flexible, adaptable, and muck-in mentality would be appreciated! The family is offering $35/hr and a stipend towards medical benefits.
