Job Duties:

  • Oversee and monitor reports, forms, and admission packets for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate with program supervisor or designee for timely completion of contractual requirements
  • Ensure safety coordination for the facility
  • Facilitate compliance with the Youth Development System (YDS) among staff
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and promote a culture of cleanliness
  • Oversee Quality Improvement (QI) process/system and compliance with standards
  • Develop efficiencies to enhance outcomes for children and families
  • Follow policies and procedures of YFA, DJJ, DCF, and Florida Network
  • Lead contract monitoring annually
  • Collaborate with community providers and networks
  • Ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures
  • Attend staff and external meetings as assigned
  • Handle fundraising responsibilities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with licensing standards and budgetary requirements
  • Participate in community/regional committees, workgroups, collaborative teams
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) food program
  • Assist in preparation of performance evaluations of youth development staff
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned
  • Identify and coordinate comprehensive training needs of all staff
  • Develop and maintain annual strategic goals for the program and employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Trained and authorized to access protected health information
  • Knowledge of YFA, DJJ, DCF, and Florida Network policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in program coordination and youth

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • BSW/BA required
  • MSW/MS (preferred)
  • 5+ years demonstrated management experience (preferred).
  • Shelter experience or experience working in a non-profit environment (preferred)

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed; Ability to bend, lift and carry 30 pounds.
  • Clean driving record and able to pass a level II background screen and drug urinalysis.
