Job Description
Youth Counselors provide supervision, advocacy, intensive skills development instruction, and monitoring for students with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive struggles.
Youth Counselor Essential Duties:
- Monitor/supervise students
- Co-facilitate activities
- Follow daily program schedule - keep students on task
- Advocate for student needs within the program
- Assist with Skills Development Service (SDS) classes
Requirements to apply for the Youth Counselor position:
- Must be 20 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a Background Check (BCI)
Requirements if hired as Youth Counselor:
- Must obtain Food Handlers Permit - within 30 days of hire
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification - within 30 days of hire
- Attend pre-service and annual training- as required
