Hours : Day Shifts - 6 am - 2 pm / 8 am - 4 pm and Swing Shifts - 2 pm - 10 pm / 4 pm - 12 am. Grave shifts - 12am-8am. If you're willing to be flexible - can easily able to have full time hours if willing to pick up shifts.

Pay: Starts at $15.00 - can go higher based on experience

Qualifications

Must be 19 years old

Experience working with adolescents, children and/or their families

Some college education and/or training to work with adolescents, children and/or their families

Physical ability to implement duties as described above

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form

Ability to complete all paperwork for employee file

Minimum of one Weekend Day required

Must be willing / able to go on 3 day camping trips

About Moonridge Academy

We are a residential treatment center for AFAB teens aged 12-15. Our program is small - with no more than 24 students at a time. Students live with us for an average of one year - so we have time to get to know and really help our students. Our mentors focus on building relationships and helping students to make positive choices. Mentors are the front line in the care and safety of the students and are instrumental in helping students to improve their communication, manage anxiety, improve self-esteem and make more productive choices. This is an ideal situation for students who might struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma or attachment issues. Duties

• Responsible for supporting the program and its clients and ensuring the safety of the students. This includes but is not limited to:
• Knowing the Moonridge Academy Program and Policies and Procedures
• Supervision of students: in close proximity and within eyesight at all times except private time, bathroom, changing clothes, etc.
• Constantly be in communication with team members to ensure that all students are safe and properly supervised
• Maintain secure situations at all times
• Support itineraries, agendas, and schedules
• Participate in special assignments, responsibilities, committees, and development groups
• Work, hike, play and serve alongside students.
• Provide ongoing support for students
• Monitor and record youth’s growth, development and behavior on a daily basis
• Attend all staff meeting and trainings
• Professionalism is maintained at all times for all duties
• Maintenance and general upkeep of the home, vehicle, and grounds
• Work with others on shift to create an atmosphere where the students can progress
• Support decisions made by the Shift Leader, Program Director, Clinical, etc.'
