Young Toddler Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our early learning center as an Infant Room Teacher. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in early childhood education, with a specific focus on caring for and educating infants. This position requires nurturing instincts, a gentle demeanor, and the ability to create a stimulating and safe environment for infants to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalized care and attention to infants, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met throughout the day.
2. Create a warm and nurturing environment that promotes a sense of security and trust for infants.
3. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities to promote infants' growth and development, including language development, motor skills, and sensory exploration.
4. Use a variety of teaching tools and techniques, such as music, rhymes, and hands-on experiences, to engage infants in learning and stimulate their curiosity.
5. Encourage and facilitate infants' social interactions, helping them develop important social skills and promoting positive relationships with caregivers and peers.
6. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, including regular sanitation of toys, equipment, and surfaces.
7. Observe and document infants' progress and milestones, and communicate with parents about their child's daily activities, progress, and any issues that may arise.
8. Foster open and effective communication with parents, ensuring that their questions, concerns, and suggestions are addressed promptly and professionally.
9. Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
10. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, and actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly preferred.
2. Previous experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare or early learning setting is required.
3. Knowledge and understanding of infant development, including familiarity with milestones and appropriate caregiving practices.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with infants, parents, and colleagues.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of infants and families, showing cultural sensitivity and respect.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain a well-structured classroom environment.
7. Patience, empathy, and compassion to handle infants' unique needs and emotions.
8. First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.
9. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying infants, kneeling, and bending.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.25 per hour
