Projects and Responsibilities:
- Evangelize the adoption of analytics development processes, controls, and relevant tools (such as Jira and GitHub) to enhance the overall quality and reliability of solutions deployed to production.
- Serve as a consultant/resource to citizen analytics developers and provide training/support on analytics/reporting tools in use within the business, such as Python, SQL, Tableau and/or Alteryx.
- Design and implement appropriate monitoring of citizen development activities to ensure adherence to controls/standards and identify areas in need of additional training/support.
- Partner with OCC's Scrum Masters to promote understanding and implementation of agile practices among citizen developers.
Candidate Qualifications:
- General knowledge of analytics skills, such as Python, SQL, Tableau, and/or Alteryx.
- Interest and comfort with educating and promoting analytics practices among developers throughout the organization.
- Interest in helping to build out new capabilities, governance, process for the team/organization, which can involve ambiguity and iteration on approaches.
What knowledge and skills will the intern gain from this internship?
- Acquisition of more in-depth knowledge of analytics practices, including delivery and version control tools such as Jira and Git.
- Hands-on experience with analytics skills, such as Python and Tableau, in the creation of monitoring and reporting in relation to analytics governance and improvements over time.
- Exposure to various SaaS products, databases, APIs, and other data source technologies and methods.
- Opportunity to help expand and fortify analytics capabilities within a SIFMU.
