Corliss Resources, a Heidelberg Materials company, is seeking a Yard Worker/Plant Assistant to join our team in Sumner, Washington. In this position you will support plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment while being responsible for the repair and maintenance of our ready-mix batch plants.

What You'll Get to Do:
- Primarily troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ready-mix batch plants.
- Cut, weld, fabricate, change pulleys, fix conveyors, etc.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable environmental regulations as it relates to the proper operation of batch plant equipment.
- Will operate a front-end loader when needed.
- Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each component on the plant.
- Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections.
- Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
- Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.
- Repair, install, adjust, or maintain equipment / components.
- Complete written record of work performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions.
- Ability to operate loader and other yard equipment as needed.
- Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions.
- Capable of learning through on-the-job training.
- Good attendance and punctuality a must.
- Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, nights, and holidays may be required.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial plants.
- Knowledge of Ready-Mix batching systems is an asset.
- Working knowledge of concrete and admixtures.
- Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team.
