Objective
To perform in-house shipping and receiving of materials in a safe and organized manner. Safely operate company vehicles and machinery for the pickup and delivery of materials and equipment. Fill propane tanks for walk-in customers, paint, repair and fill propane cylinders on dock and in the field, assist with vehicle and building maintenance, assist with tank and equipment installations.

Essential Functions
- Receive materials into the plant, unload, and inspect for damage.
- Verify each order received against the packing list.
- Store all incoming materials in the appropriate warehouse in an orderly manner.
- Transfer materials and equipment to other branches when needed.
- Read meters monthly per established schedule.
- Install, maintain, and service tank monitors for branches.
- Load materials and equipment into vehicles for customers and service personnel.
- Inspect and fill LP cylinders as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouses and outside plant.
- Operate vehicles and machinery owned by SchagrinGAS and hold the required licenses.
- Make necessary repairs to customer or Company-owned propane tanks as directed by supervisor.
Non-Essential Functions
- Reports directly to the Branch Manager, may also receive direction from various supervisors.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned to the position.
- Treats customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Report all accidents and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Schedule Requirements
- Available to work between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of long periods of walking and standing.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely to complete tasks.
- Capable of handling a work environment that is indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to climb ladders and in/out of vehicles or equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (Class B commercial driver’s license preferred) with minimal violations.
- Forklift or other powered lift equipment operation experience is ideal, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Must comply with SchagrinGAS drug & alcohol testing policy.
- Qualified in LP Gas Transfer (willing to train).
Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
