Job Description
The Yard & Utility workers play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our yard and facilities. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks, including equipment inspections, yard organization, and general utility work. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Keep equipment clean and organized in the yard and warehouse.
- Stage equipment for delivery.
- Load and unload delivery trucks with proper security and safety.
- Equipment delivery pick up tickets and condition reports are to be completed on all equipment.
- Check equipment fuel, fluid levels, battery charge, and proper operations before loading.
- Report and document any damage or operational dysfunction of all equipment.
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
- Minor equipment assembly.
- Minor repairs and maintenance.
- Support other departments as needed, such as helping with logistics or inventory management.
- Complete any and all special assignments or projects from the branch manager in a timely manner.
- Work and operate in compliance with safety and company regulations and policies.
- Required to join Local 150 Union of Operating Engineers and adhere to their terms of negotiated contract and compensation package.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Entry level position, technical or farming equipment background would be a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills
- Product knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional teamwork skills.
Work Enviroment
- Warehouse and yard setting.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking in shop.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and kneel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.80 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
