ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews shipping schedule to determine need for movement of empty and full trailers.
Operates truck tractor to move filled trailers to yard parking area and bring empty trailers to appropriate docking space.
Ensures that safety chocks are in place during loading process, are removed for return to parking area and then replaced while trailer is parked.
Places and removes dock boards as required.
Handles over-the-road truck driving duties in the event of absence of regular tractor trailer driver.
Drive to local PGTI facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years experience as truck driver
Knowledge of PGT shipping routes
LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Basic English language skills
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills
REASONING ABILITY
No special reasoning ability required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Class A Commercial Drivers License
DOT medical card

Ability to travel occasionally domestically.
