We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist/X-Ray Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a CT Technologist/X-Ray Technician, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. You will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans on patients according to physician orders, ensuring proper patient positioning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for CT procedures, explaining the process and providing necessary support to alleviate any anxiety or discomfort.
- Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images, adjusting settings as needed to obtain optimal results while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Monitor patients during scans and respond to any adverse reactions or complications promptly and effectively.
- Review and evaluate CT images to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness, identifying any artifacts or abnormalities that may require further imaging.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results, providing valuable insights and assisting in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedure details, and imaging results in accordance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on CT equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of protocols and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of CT imaging services.
- Stay informed about advancements in CT technology, techniques, and safety practices through ongoing education and training, ensuring proficiency in current best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in radiologic technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or X-Ray Technician.
- Prior experience working as a CT Technologist/X-Ray Technician preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating CT equipment and related software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
