Responsible for taking x-ray exams, bone density exams and related duties. Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with Practice policies and procedures.
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Perform all X-ray procedures.
Maintain X-ray facility records and files.
Develop and process radiologic film.
Deliver, pick up and return film.
Ensure equipment at all sites is in working order. Maintain x-ray and darkroom. Confirm with processors at other sites that the equipment is being maintained. Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies for all sites.
Perform Bone Density studies, performs quality control for Bone Density Studies.
Maintain x-ray equipment and supplies for the x-ray facility. Calibrate x-ray machines as needed.
Coordinate quality controls for all x-ray facilities. Ensure that the x-rays can be read by physicians.
Proctor classes in regards to x-ray safety.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Associate's degree in radiological technology from accredited x-ray technician program.
Minimum of one year clinical experience.
Current CPR certification.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration.
Possesses a preference for dealing with people who are ill and need help.
Displays an outgoing, warm and helpful attitude.
Detail oriented.
Possesses the tact to deal effectively with patients, guests, co-workers and physicians.
