Assist with Core Laboratory function by performing a wide variety of analytical laboratory duties including routine and non-routine assay for Core customers and providing routine training on Core instrumentation. Other duties may include troubleshooting and method development using Core instrumentation as well as general laboratory tasks such as prep work and ordering.
Responsibilities:
Conducts research experiments with limited supervision. Provides technical support with some degree of independence for research projects and/or labs under moderate supervision.
- 25% Prepares lab and/or field test materials and samples according to established research requirements and specifications. Performs lab or field tests.
- 25% Inspects and maintains equipment, supplies, inventory, and facility spaces
- 25% Collects data and monitors test results according to established research requirements and specifications
- 5% May assist with literature reviews and/or report writing
- 5% Reviews data to summarize results for presentations or reporting
- 5% General administration and customer interfacing.
- 10% Conduct instrument training for new users.

Qualifications:
Experience in a laboratory setting required.
Experience with analytical preparatory techniques required.
Experience with analytical equipment and instrumentation desired.

8:00 - 4:30 Monday - Friday

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
