Essential Responsibilities: As a Wound Care Nurse at Aspen Point Health and Rehab you will play a vital role in supporting the facility and medical staff by:
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support in infection prevention.
- Compile and submit data related to infection prevention
- Monitor and maintain current knowledge of key accrediting and regulatory agency indicators/standards.
- Develop policies and procedures supporting infection prevention and control.
- Identify, investigate, and report healthcare-associated infections through ongoing surveillance.
- Collaborate with HR to provide direction on employee health issues such as exposures, vaccines, communicable diseases, and other infections.
- Adhere to standards set by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).

Requirements:
- Must possess a valid, current RN or LPN license in the state of practice.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
- CIC – Certification in Infection Prevention and Control within 1 year.
- CWCN – Certified Wound Care Nurse within 1 year.
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience, with general knowledge of various nursing specialties.
- Knowledge of basic infection prevention standards and/or wound care knowledge and experience.
