Our Wound Care Nurse is responsible for assessment of wounds, developing and implementing a plan of care related to diagnosis, monitoring in collaboration with the provider, dietary, nurse manager, etc., management of patient record, providing education to staff and patients related to Wound Care.

Responsibilities Include
Works collaboratively with the RN Managers and Unit Nurses in monitoring and treating residents wounds.
Working directly with affiliated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner/Doctor and participates in weekly rounds and daily clinical meetings to keep all disciplines apprised of resident progress and necessary change and update of treatment plans.
Develops and implements Wound Care services in accordance with the policies of the facility and the directives of the Interdisciplinary Team. Works with the Director of Nursing in ensuring that the clinical team is up to date with current education in wounds and treatments.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks, including the investigation of new skin impairments.
Qualifications/Requirements
2-5 years related experience and/or training specific to Wound Care required
Demonstrated knowledge of wound-related products & procedures
RN License.
Certification in Wound Care preferred but not required
