ChristianaCare Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center located at Riverside in Wilmington, DE, is hiring a full time RN. We strive for highest level of Wound Care outcomes, utilization of sophisticated Wound Care products, and leverage a multidisciplinary approach to care.

Our Wound Care Center is currently seeking a Part Time Nurse to join the team and work 40 hours per pay (every two weeks) collaborating with physicians and other members of the health care team in providing outstanding Wound Care. The successful candidate will case manage a group of patients by planning, implementing, and evaluating a plan of care and work 5 days every two weeks, hours are only Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm with no weekends or holidays required at this time.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care for patients in an outpatient setting through comprehensive assessments, and review of diagnostic data and wound evaluations
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of common wound etiologies and wound standards of care
  • Perform ordered treatments including but not limited to vital signs, blood sugars, vascular assessments and ABIs, wound assessments, phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection and handling
  • Prepare/implement care plan, collaborating with the physician and other health team members
  • Demonstrate competence in assessing patient and family learning needs and developing a strategy to meet all areas of learning needs

Education and Experience Requirements: Registered Nurse with current state license in good standing, Bachelor’s of Nursing required, two years experience in acute care nursing, experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred. Once oriented will support cross coverage between the Wound Centers if need (emergent coverage needs only as needed).
