Job Description:

We are currently searching for a Worship Leader to serve our church family on Sunday morning and our Youth Band on Sunday PM.. You will grow the Sunday Worship Team and identify key Leaders for leadership development. You will care for and be responsible for the spiritual development of those individuals on your Worship Team.

Responsibilities:

The Worship Leader’s responsibilities include:

Provide musical and spiritual leadership at weekly practice and Sunday AM service

Provide musical and spiritual leadership at weekly practice and Sunday PM Youth service

Communicate regularly (weekly) with Team Members and A/V for both adult and youth teams

Recruit, mentor and expand adult Worship Team

Prepare and plan worship for church services and special events (i.e. Worship Nights, Leadership events, Good Friday, Men’s/Women’s events, etc.)

Introduce new worship material to team and congregation.

Set standards of excellence for personal, team spiritual and musical growth

Manage Worship and A/V team schedules

Steward equipment and keep active inventory

Responsible for timely reports to CCLI

Weekly Work Hours:

Weekly Practice (2 hours)

Sunday Morning (4 hours)

Sunday PM Youth (2 hours)

Meeting with Lead Pastor (1 hour)

Mentorship/Team Care (6 hours)

Miscellaneous (5 hours)

Total = 20 Hours

What You Bring:

Education & Experience

3+ years of Worship Ministry/Music & Production experience

Undergraduate degree in related field or professional experience equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Vocally strong, instrumentally knowledgeable, ability to lead from an instrument a plus

Proven leader who mentors worship team members and develops other leaders

Technically savvy with church production needs onsite and online

Able to schedule worship teams and sets in an orderly well managed fashion

Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills with adults and teens

Able to support the vision, goals, and leadership of the Lead Pastor

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Personal Characteristics & Qualifications

Spiritually mature and theologically conservative

Values participation, excellence, and leadership

Cultivates personal humility and sensitively leads development conversations

Boldly shares personal testimony that includes your salvation and Holy Spirit experiences
