The Workplace Experience team's mission is to bring Plaids together by creating exceptional spaces, events, and programs. Our current workplace portfolio is spread across multiple locations (San Francisco, New York, London, Amsterdam) and contains two channels of Workplace: Operations and Events & Experiences.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Plaid’s NYC office including workplace services, facility maintenance and repair, janitorial, and food & beverage services
- Maintain a high standard of in-office experience for all Plaid employees and guests
- Manage vendor operations and relationships for the NYC office including but not limited to janitorial, food & beverage, property management, and others as needed.
- Partner closely with HR, TechOps, legal, FP&A, EAs, and other Workplace team members to ensure a positive in-office experience for Plaids and their guests
- Represent & influence Plaid culture in the office by building relationships and supporting employees
- Proactively facilitate workplace & process improvements, including ideation and implementation
- You understand and independently execute projects that impact the overall workplace strategy for the NYC office
- Collaborate with onsite security to ensure guests and employees have frictionless access to the office
- Support space planning efforts to optimize the office floor plan for the needs of the team
- You provide coverage for the Front Desk when necessary
- You actively collaborate with vendors to maintain health & safety standards in the Workplace
- Assist the events & experiences team with the management of in-office events
- In-office requirement 5 days a week
- Reports directly to the Workplace Operations Manager based in San Francisco
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a Facilities role or similar
- Solid understanding of facilities operations and vendor management
- Strong customer service experience
- You’re seen as a strong contributor of fresh thinking for problem-solving or process improvements
- You can oversee various facilities-related projects from ideation to completion with minimal oversight
- Outstanding organization, documentation, and attention to detail
- Experienced technical literacy in Workplace tools such as G Suite, Slack, Jira, and Envoy
- Experience managing ticketing systems & triaging requests as they arise
- Strong appetite for learning
- Serious about their craft and being best in class
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve while juggling multiple responsibilities
- Proven track record of being proactive and anticipating the needs of others
